Smart Fishing Spots Platform

The Strike Score tool is our custom strike prediction algorithm that we built to help you identify the days that are most likely to have a good amount of feeding fish based on the following data points:

  1. Tide Forecasts
  2. Temperature Swings
  3. Barometric Pressure Shifts
  4. Wind & Cloud Cover Forecasts

Here’s a video that shows how to use it:

Notes:

  1. The detailed forecasts go out 14 days because that’s the maximum length of time we can get reliable data going forward.
  2. The forecasts get updated every hour, so the score will change as the date of interest approaches according to any adjustments to the forecasts
  3. The output number is of course just an estimate, so the actual results can be better or worse than what the score predicted in any given day.

Can you use the app to navigate to saved waypoints?

I have a question. I’ve been trying Smart Fishing Spots. Great App. However, I’ve noticed on a few days the strike score is higher – around 7.5, but throughout the entire day the feeding indicator on the tide chart remains low – around 3 all day. How can that be? I’ve noticed on other days, the strike score is low, but there are feeding indicators in the tide chart that are high. What would be a better indicator of fish activity? Would it be the strike score or the feeding indicator on the tide chart? Any advice would be appreciated.

Fred Lane here, I love the app. There is a few things I would like to see better. Maybe its just me or my computer. when I am searching around on the platform. I am looking at the shaded Relief area, I get lost on where exactly I am looking. meaning, any written information disappears. it also is harder to navigate on my android, as the map layers is in the way of my viewing. I am still adjusting it to my liking. I use to like Tides 4 Fishing mostly, and I also had to go find the weather. I can not say that I have used it yet in relation to fishing , but just looking around some of my favorite areas, for more perfect spots.
