Interesting choice of leader. A decent size snook would immediately relieve you of your $10 lure.
Mostly trout and reds in this area I was fishing. Would definitely bump up in leader if I was targeting snook.
Yea well Tony even though I bought the skinny lipper in mostly all the colors I have really yet to do anything on them but I did find that the bomber long A can be used just like the skinny lipper and it has caught me numerous fish where the skinny lipper has only gotten a few strikes here and there and I use it the way the mini course teaches one to use it so I know I’m not using it wrong but like I told pat in his most recent post about his 4 favorite spring lures to fish mine vary and I know its because the conditions that you and pat fish in are totally different then my murky water jacksonville areas that I fish in and to me that makes a big difference because yes a red is a red and a trout is a trout and all the fish are the same species no matter where you are the water clarity and the structure make the way they feed and act differently in different areas at least that’s what I have found in my 21 plus years as an inshore saltwater angler and the 34 years as an freshwater angler been fishing since I was 5 and I’m now 61 and while I’m not and never have been or will be a bragger I just tell it like I have seen and experienced it what others have is there buissness thanks for the info and all you do🤫😉👍
You’re welcome Steven!
Wow, nice solid trout Tony. Always enjoy your reports.
Thanks Brad!
Nice demonstration Tony and awesome video as well as good quality of fish caught …… I am a club member in the northeastern part of Florida in the Jacksonville ville area …..
I see many videos of you fishing in areas such as this video …. We don’t have places like this much up here …. Could you please provide some areas and locations that I can fish like where you are fishing …
Also see that you are always fishing these spots in a gheenoe …. Are there boat restrictions and horse power motor restrictions as well …. Any and all help in this matter would be very helpful and much appreciated I can assure you ….
Once again awesome video Tony … !
Thanks Thomas! You mainly have tidal creeks up there, so I would be looking for creeks that have some shallow areas (2ft or less) with current and structure (points, oyster beds, etc). Windblown points with current and structure have been a prime type of spot right now.
Nice catches Tony! Looks like I’ll need to be adding that new Skinny Lipper to the arsenal.
Thanks Kristin!
