Shoreline Fishing EXPOSED: How to Find the Best Spots!

Ever wonder why some anglers always seem to catch fish while others struggle? It’s not luck… it’s knowing where to fish—and that’s exactly what I’m breaking down in today’s video.

Gear Used:

➡ Slot Machine Rod

➡ Mulligan Paddle Tail (LeBronze color)

➡ Rigged on a 3/0 Hoss Helix Hook 1/8oz

There’s a huge mistake I see anglers make all the time when fishing a shoreline. If you’re not paying attention to this one key detail, you could be wasting your time in dead water while the fish are close by.

The 90/10 Rule is the secret to finding the most productive fishing zones—where 90% of the fish are holding in just 10% of the water. But how do you find that 10%? What signs should you be looking for?

I’ll show you exactly where the fish are (and where they’re NOT) so you can stop guessing and start catching.

Got questions? Drop them in the comments after watching—I’ll be answering them! 🎣

Really great advice Tony — thanks! How would you adjust for major algae on a flat? Fished a great spot yesterday but every retrieve (even 1/8 oz weedless hooks) was covered in algae. I just moved away to deeper water and caught trout.

Good analysis, Tony. Always remembering the factors that are not visible can also be key to success as well. Barometric pressure changes, for example, can make a huge difference, solunar periods can too.

This correctly teaches there is more to identifying a 90/10 zone than pre-planning a trip or sole reliance on SFS, weekend game plan, or a Google Earth map to pinpoint it. As you point out, the 90/10 zone may not be a shoreline but a good distance away from it. It’s also dependent on targeted species as some are much more oriented to structure than others. So observation on the water is how to hone in on where they are, and then that can be called the 90/10 zone. Otherwise, one can pre-plan and identify an area as 90/10 but find no fish.
